An excerpt from my poem “Proud to be a Woman”:

Don’t misconstrue her tears for her frailty

She draws her fortitude from her fragility

Contesting and envisioning she ascends to fly

She’s so proud to be a woman

About the book:

For many generations, women were worshipped as Devi on Earth, but ironically were left with feeble rights to take major decisions for their own family and society of which they were an integral part. We the women here have gathered countless stories of immense importance that the world must hear. There is no gender-based discrimination here. All that we proclaim is we are neither superior nor inferior to men; rather men and women are perfect complements to each other. The diverse voices in this book represent the smothered and unheard voices of many, thus making it an incredible piece of art.
