NaPoWriMo Day 8 Poem: I Bow for His Benevolence

ALS NaPoWriMo Day 8:

Gratitude is one of the biggest virtues. There are many people in our lives to whom we are not able to express our gratitude- spouse, parents, children, friends, relatives, peers, the helpers at our home/office, vendors etc. Use this opportunity to express how grateful you are for their presence in your life. It could be one person or many or even nature or God. Just feel grateful today.

Poem: I Bow for His Benevolence

My day begins with your blessings

My night falls with your name

In your presence I find myself

Your reverence is my only fame

From the clutches of darkness abound

Your Simran (worship) enlightens my space

When my Lord walks by my side

How can I lose my way

He who endowed me with this life

And offers hope in strife

Is the one to accord me wisdom

To discern truth from materialism 

In search of His order, in search of my purpose 

I wander, I learn, I question, I surrender

No power I could find mightier than Him

None touched my soul graver than His preaching

I bow to Him, I seek His guidance

To nourish my soul with divine experience 

For I wish to assign each breath of my existence

To incarnating His plan, to embodying His wisdom
