Limerick Challenge Week 19: Mother

This post is in response to the Limerick Challenge hosted by @mindandlifematters.

This week’s prompt is “Mother”. I decided to write the limerick from the perspective of a mother rather than “for” the mother and I realized that five lines were not able to contain my views and feelings on this theme. So, I will continue this limerick into poem in a separate post sometime soon. Hope you will enjoy it !

Life was amusing in its own way

Love, work, friends & a good pay

I was happy not elated

I was alive not related

Until you made me “Mother”, one day!
