“Spring being a tough act to follow, God created June.”-Al Bernstein
Yes, half a year is gone!
Time just slips away from our hands, isn’t it?
I feel like having celebrated New Year , a few days ago!
So, let’s get to know our sixth month better!
June has the Summer Solstice, the day with the longest daylight of the year, typically on June 21st. I am sure most of us are aware of this.
The month also celebrates June 5 as the World Environment Day and June 17 as World Father’s Day.
Some good news for foodies too! The month of June happens to be month of delicacies! National Candy Month, National Dairy Month, National Seafood Month and National Iced Tea Month – June is the month of all these. Wow! What a treat 🙂
Gertrude Jekyll said, “What is one to say about June, the time of perfect young summer, the fulfillment of the promise of the earlier months, and with as yet no sign to remind one that its fresh young beauty will ever fade.”
It’s time to reveal the theme for this month as part of my monthly theme series wherein I share a post related to the theme every week.
With a little hold on our targets, goals and promises for the year, as we stand midway, let’s practice some compassion this month.
Yes, the theme for this month is “compassion!”
Let’s learn to be kind, considerate and benevolent this month.
Hope you will join me in this journey, as always!
Week 1 post shall follow soon.
Cheers!
Good theme to post on. All the best 🙂
Thanks Raja!
Just want to clarify…Father’s Day is on 18th or 20th? Because as far I know 3rd June Sunday is celebrated as Father’s Day…
Oh yes…it’s on 18th June. Thanks for correcting me Sangbad. I’ll edit the post 🙂
It is okay Vandana…this what a friend duty…
