Day 9 prompt asks you to write in a specific form – the nonet! A nonet has nine lines. The first line has nine syllables, the second has eight, and so on until you get to the last line, which has just one syllable.
I’ve written two stanzas- one is a Nonnet and the other is a reverse Nonnet.
Poem: A Nonnet on Love
Love- a mirage, a constant yearning;
I carry him deep in my heart,
So unbelievably near,
Just as my faith in Lord,
Yet he seems so far,
Will he be mine,
In this life?
I trust,
Lord.
Yes,
I trust,
For I know,
My Soulmate he’s,
Destined to be mine,
As universe aligns,
To ensure we’re together,
Not only in this existence,
But for each lifetime, He has designed!

Sort of Bhajan I felt
My pleasure…
Well done! A lovely meditation on love and trust.
Very well written Vandana.
I like how you added the reverse nonet to complete the poem.
