The prompt for day 6 is to write a poem that stretches your comfort zone with line breaks. That could be a poem with very long lines, or very short lines. Or a poem that blends the two. You might break to emphasize (or de-emphasize) sounds or rhymes, or to create a moment of hesitation in the middle of a thought.
I found the prompt quite interesting and thought of having some fun with it. I hope it brings a smile on your face too 🙂
Poem: Unforeseen Pauses
some
short
phrases
some illogical
B
R
E
A
K
S
some really long sentences that keep flowing like a river yearning to mingle in an ocean
some absurd
weird
thoughts that
keep thumping my
head
all the time
is what
I plan to
write for
today as
I
wish to
move
out of
my comfort
zone today breaking
the monotony of
discipline as I am a perfectionist and I hate inconsistencies
and I always endeavor for meaningful pauses
in my
poem so here
I
am adhering to
the prompt
of
NaPoWriMo
for day
six
today and I
comprehended that life
also often
exhibits
such
episodes of unforeseen
P
A
U
S
E
S
so let’s
revel in those as well and take them in our stride
stretch our comfort zone and seek
our
learning from
those
