ALS NaPoWriMo Day 5 Prompt: A Sky Full of Stars
I sought inspiration from the following quote by Swami Vivekananda for my poem today.
“Each soul is a star and all stars are set in the infinite azure, the eternal sky-the Lord.”— Swami Vivekananda
Poem: The Soul Star
Each soul is a star and all stars are set in the infinite azure,
the eternal sky–the Lord.
In the vastness of the sky that stretches far and beyond,
Infinite dreams are born.
—
Dreams that take their shape on Earth as beings,
Dreams that are scattered in the Universe as stars and galaxies,
Dreams that preserve the mysteries of existence,
Dreams that guide the path beyond resistance.
—
The stars prompt us to look for light within,
To find our true selves in the vastness within.
The sky full of stars is a reminder of our connection–
Our connection with the source of this vast creation.
—
A deep sense of calmness, an assurance I feel,
When I gaze at the stars in search of some peace,
Their light illuminates the darkness in my soul,
Their blessings are far beyond what I can perceive.
—
My soul brightens up when stars whisper to me,
“You were once one of us, lighting up the sky,
You are connected to the Universe with this starlight,
Don’t lose your spark to uncertainties of this life.”
—
A star I was,
A star I shall become,
In the infinite sky, the eternal azure,
My soul, you will see, enlightening the sky!
