ALS NaPoWriMo Day 5 Prompt:
Today, let us indulge our senses as we pen down our verses.
So, your poem must include words to show visual (seeing), auditory (hearing), tactile (touch), gustatory (taste), or olfactory (smell) senses.
Challenging? Don’t worry. You can use any three senses instead of five.
Poem: The Nature’s Platter
Under the shade of cerulean sky, I saw my shadow– dusky and fiery,
I looked up at the azure searching for hues that reflected more,
I wanted to see my silhouette in a different shade-
Roseate, crimson, vermillion or amber maybe?
But the magnificent boundless firmament seemed unfazed by my drift
As I walked along the ocean, mesmerized by its roars,
I could hear the sea gulls making way for the moon,
The waves danced to the lunar rhythm and crashed on the shore,
The harmonious symphony of nature allured me to the core,
As I strived to listen to my voice, cocooned in my soul
The gentle waft caressed me, whispering words of magic,
As memory of mom’s cuisines tantalized my olfactory wits,
The taste of happiness suddenly imbued my being,
And a broad warm smile quietly adorned my lips,
How tender touch of love can make you feel at ease!
I savored the nature’s platter as I gazed up at azure,
Walking along the ocean, rejoicing the gentle breeze,
With my feet touching the sand wedded to ocean water,
A connect to my roots, a belongingness I perceived,
In the loving embrace of nature, rejuvenated I feel!
