ALS NaPoWriMo Day 4: Here’s the prompt:
It’s the season of spring, and we see colorful flowers blooming everywhere. Our life is also like a garden, experiencing all the seasons from time to time. Write a poem to show us the garden of your life. Which flowers are blooming in your life? Are thorns bothering you? Which season does you good? Get your creative juices flowing!
Poem: The Orchard of My Life
The orchard of my life blooms with flora varied-
Flora of happiness, joy and peace,
I’ve nurtured it with hands of compassion and harmony
When winds of change threaten to shake my roots,
When pests of fear infect my faith and belief,
I tend to my garden with manure of perseverance
Carefully plucking all the weeds- pessimism, judgments and critique,
I sow the seeds of hope and acuity,
Waiting for these to germinate patiently
My orchard blossoms in the season of love,
As flora reinvigorates at the onset of spring,
With hues of ecstasy permeating my being
From a seed that sprouted and turned into a tree
I’ve fostered my garden with love, care and acuity
Enraptured I feel to see it thriving steadily
