The prompt given by Maureen is to write about something that you are not interested in.
I generally do not like when people refrain from talking about their failures and only show their side that’s flawless. I feel proud to say that I’m perfectly imperfect! So here goes the poem:
Poem Title: Flaunt your scars
Cracks, faults, inaccuracies, failure-
Why these words create an aura pessimistic
Aren’t these flaws a part of our being?
Don’t these make success worth celebrating?
–
To explore and grow, being the purpose of our being,
How can we grow if we don’t commit fallacies?
‘Perfection’, I believe, is akin to stagnation,
How can anything be perfect, if it’s constantly evolving?
–
So keep perusing your dreams,
And make best of your offerings,
There might be a few cracks here and there,
But isn’t it the key for the light to sneak in?
–
Flaunt your scars, glorify your failures,
They make you, who you are and prove you are human,
Embrace every crack, that personifies your identity,
It makes you more beautiful; don’t consider them ugly!
