ALS NaPoWriMo Day 14 Prompt:
Well, Sunday being a lazy day needs an extra dose of inspiration/ push to get going. So, why not write about the lazy day itself today! How do you spend your lazy day? Are lazy days necessary? Or
You could also describe how you spent your vacation or how you would like to spend your vacation. Let’s put work aside today and get into a relaxed mood!
Poem: A Lazy, Fun Sunday
A day of rejuvenation to recharge myself,
A day to slow down, and give my body some rest
Sunday is the pause button of life mundane
A day to catch up, a day to be with friends!
Late than other days, I like to wake up,
Lazing away my time from sofa to bed,
Some cooking exotic, some baking to be done,
An indulgence in food, at home or a pleasant hotel.
A movie? Oh! Yes,
Some leisure time with friends,
A walk amidst nature, some event at theatre,
Any outing that screams, “Today is different!”
Sometimes I just like to bury myself in books,
I pick up a few pages from a book or two,
With music a little loud, and singing to myself,
I pick up my art journal, and scribble what I feel
Whatever I may do, no exercise on Sunday,
Board games with kids, but no work on fun day,
Ah! but these chores, they won’t let me breathe
Is there any day, when house doesn’t need a thing?
But grateful I am, to whoever named this day,
For Sun or no Sun, it is still a fun day!
