This piece of poetry is inspired by my favorite writer, Rumi. As many of you know, I’m in love with Rumi’s poetry and hold him in great regard and a source of inspiration for me, so I dedicate this poem to Rumi, a dust of his mansion of poetry!
Poem: An Eternal Love (Inspired by Rumi’s poetry)
I search for Thee in the presence of Thee,
For I believe and I know,
He’s already there,
Wherever I see
–
I find Him in judgment and pride,
I see Him in reality and caprice,
I find Him glistening in stars and moon,
In Sunlight, I look out for Him
–
For the love of Thee, I love you my beloved,
For you are the conduit to immerse in Him,
I wait for the day to unite with you,
For that would be the day, to meet my Thee
–
In my heart, there’s a place sacred,
That shines and gleams with light of love,
I offer that light to you my love,
Do you see yourself there, beyond what eyes can perceive?
–
I feel His presence in the ink I write in,
Yet my words always keep scouring for Him,
Is there a pathway through these words?
Or am I failing to see His presence near me?
–
Come, and help me seek Him, my love,
My soul yearns for that eternal meet,
A glimpse of Him I feel in your embrace,
When Him, you and I become one!
