ALS NaPoWriMo Day 7 Prompt: There are no failures, only lessons to be learnt.
I am using the following words of Barack Obama to begin my poem:
“You can’t let your failures define you. You have to let your failures teach you.” – Barack Obama
Poem: Failures are Teachers
You can’t let your failures define you,
You have to let your failures teach you.
—
There’s a tale of grit behind every scar,
Honouring the winner for the times he’d a fall.
—
Let the obstacles on the path be your stepping stone,
Just as a river manoeuvres rocks on its path
—
The tests of the game strengthen you for the win,
The way a child falls but doesn’t quit on learning to walk
—
Your plan may work or not; your actions might go wrong,
What matters is your effort in devising a prudent plan
—
Relationships may fall out; fate may have its plans,
But lessons of shattered alliances are foundation of eternal bond
—
Do not count your failures or the obstacles on your path,
Count and remember the lessons you learnt at every fall
—
You are neither defined by your failures nor your success chart,
But the lessons that helped you grow shall remain etched in your heart
