Seek inspiration from someone who inspires you and write a poem about them or the quality you learned. It could be a great leader, someone in your family, a dear friend, a fellow poet, a famous writer, or anyone else. It’s time to learn from others and quill verses around it.
Poem: My Reverence
Words, words and more words,
I see flying around all the time,
What could inspire me more than verse,
For a poet I am, I know the healing power of words!
The hymns of sacred Gurbani,
Fill my heart with gratitude every morning,
The verses of Ram, Rahim, Kabir,
The holy words of Gurus therein!
The mysticism in Rumi’s words,
The profundity of Gibran’s beliefs,
The wisdom about the miraculous Universe,
Has enthused me to shed my insecurities!
Eckhart’s emphasis on the present moment,
Dr Chopra’s intellect on awareness,
Help me reclaim my inner balance,
In every adversity and challenge!
Buddha’s path to enlightenment,
Is the source of my perseverance,
The preaching of Krishna in Geeta,
Is the guide to all relationships!
The pile of books that I keep with me,
The poems quilled by my peers that I read,
The insightful discussions I have with friends,
The stimulation from all these reflections,
I wonder at the ways of Universe,
How it teaches with such brilliance,
No matter how mystified I am,
It reminds me of my resilience!
