The challenge today is to write a poem inspired by your favorite kind of music. Try to recreate the sounds and timing of a pop ballad, a jazz improvisation, or a Bach fugue. That could mean incorporating refrains, neologisms and flights of whimsy, or repeating/inverting lines or ideas – whatever your chosen musical form would seem to require!
I have used my all time favourite composition of Bryan Adams- ‘Everything I do’
A melody of love
“Music,” I whispered in your ears,
“Let’s cajole ourselves in music,”
For it’s not every day that romance springs the air
“Look into my eyes, you’ll see; what you mean to me”
The words of Bryan Adams I hear dancing on your lips
As you embrace me in your arms with our eyes sealed
Strings of guitar glisten the starless night
Pitter-patter of sensuous rain orchestrates the beats
As symphony of our hearts creates amorous melodies
Notes of piano stir soulful euphony
Endearingly you explore my curves,
To the cadence, we waltz and swirl
Vibrations, soft humming-
I feel tingling on the softness of my skin
As the last chord hits
“Honey, let me go; but I love you darling, you very well know”
Mumbling under your breath, you move away from me
No moment to convalesce from my ecstasy
“You know it’s true;
Everything I do, I do it for you”
Adams chimes in the background
I smile,
Whistling the aria
“I know darling; I love you too!”
