Today’s challenge is to write a poem that starts with a command. It could be as uncomplicated as “Look,” as plaintive as “Come back,” or as silly as “Don’t you even think about putting that hot sauce in your hair.” Whatever command you choose, I hope you have fun ordering your readers around.
Here’s my poem for the day:
Seeds of Poetry
“Don’t you trap us in your words,”
They snapped at me as they heard my verse,
I quietly retracted my steps
–
Emotions, though didn’t adhere
Thoughts kept instigating words,
Words that kept me awake
–
Words that expounded my beliefs,
Words that echoed my musings,
Words that became my reflection
–
I kept quilling verses, night and day,
Without caring for listener or reader,
My expressions knew no bound
–
Seeds they were-
My thoughts,
My beliefs and emotions
–
Seeds that the world tried burying with its injunction,
Seeds that I nurtured with my devotion,
Seeds that sprouted into books of verse!

I enjoyed your seeds of poetry, Vandana! The tercets and the repetition of ‘words’ work well, and I especially like the final stanza.
Actually the fruit!
A writer must carry on despite being judged. Because judged, they always will be. I like the rebellious tone.
A lovely dedication to poetry, Vandana
Thanks Namratha ♥️
