We are celebrating Diwali in India today. This festival of lights is one of the most awaited and celebrated occasions for Hindus in the country. With people flooding the markets with their innovative gifting ideas, it’s an occasion filled with joy, gaiety and mirth for people of all age groups. This Senryu is to lift the spirits of Diwali while responding to the prompt words “bright” and “colourful” shared by Elsie for her Weekly Haiku/ Senryu Challenge for week #11.
