We keep closing doors to so many things/ people in our lives. It could be due to our fears, difference of opinions, circumstances, lack of time or whatever. Let’s make a list of things today that we refused earlier and are now ready to welcome in our lives. Be creative and try using any interesting poetic form as you weave your poem.
Poem: The Path to Enlightenment
I open my heart to a journey to self,
As surrounded by fears I found myself,
The burden of past, the fear of unknown,
The fear of fall despite all I know,
I acknowledge my fears, and forge ahead,
I open my heart to an uncertain world!
I open my heart to an uncertain world,
For unknown holds infinite prospects,
The known being conditioned, subject to validations,
Embellished with traces of lies and fears,
I surrender my resistance, my desire to control,
I open my heart to the mystical wisdom!
I open my heart to the mystical wisdom,
Wisdom to accept the moment as it is,
Wisdom to look for peace within,
Wisdom that steers the ship of change,
Wisdom to embrace my state of being,
I open my heart to moments of silence!
I open my heart to moments of silence,
In silence, I hear my thoughts speak,
In silence, my heart interacts with me,
Silence brings me closer to my true inner self,
Silence is the voice of what my soul seeks,
I open my heart to the miracles of Universe!
I open my heart to the miracles of Universe,
Universe that’s abundant and unparalleled,
Universe that guides and blesses with love,
As I seek to ascertain my connect with the universe,
I choose to revel in the mysteries of Universe,
I open my heart to the path of enlightenment!

P.S: I used a variation of Loop Poetry and repeated the last line of each stanza as the first line of next stanza.
